Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Portal
The main purpose of the National Health Mission is to reduce the infant mortality rates all over India. It is also working for the reduction of maternal mortality rates. Pregnant women deserve quality services and their newborns have the right to all the facilities like vaccination. The information-based system of the National Health Mission is integrated with the reporting system. It provides evidence-based decision-making.
The govt of India has developed the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) portal under the supervision of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India. This system grabs information on all RCH-related services such as mother health, child health, family planning, and immunization.
You can consider the RCH system as the augmented version of MCTS. It works on the principle of early detection of the reproductive lifecycle and tracking of mother & child. This system provides the antenatal, postnatal, and delivery services. It then tracks the children’s full immunization process.
The RCH website is linked with the RMNCH program and it supports Family Planning services. The ANMs get the alert in advance for the beneficiaries’ health monitoring & tracking.
All these efforts of the UP govt and Indian govt have reduced the chance of loss of life and kept the baby and the mother healthy.
