UP Skill Development Mission
The Uttar Pradesh govt is offering several short-term employment program that teaches the people special skills. The students who did not get an education after 05th class, the reason can be financial problems or any other issues, these students should enroll for the skill-based courses and get the training. The UP govt is not charging fees for the training.
Training for the students will be provided at private institutes and govt institutes. The focus is on providing employment-related vocational training that helps the student to get a job after the training or they can start a business. The allowed age for the skill-based training is from 14 years to 35 years. This will help the economic development of the nation. The UP govt has implemented the skill development policy since July 2013.
The objective of the Skill Development Program
- State or center-approved institute will put their efforts into skill-based training in their institutes.
- The training will be provided free to the students.
- The age of the students who enroll for the training should be from 14 to 35 years.
- The students enrolled in this training must be employed or they should start their business.
- The institute is directed for 70% of the employment of the students otherwise the UP govt will not pay the institutes.

The students can follow the three-step procedure to apply for the Skill Development Training in Uttar Pradesh govt.
- Registration– The applicants can apply for the skill development training online or offline. For the offline application, you have to go to the District Level Office (DPMU).
- Counseling– The next step is counseling. In counseling, the applicants will be asked about their interests and they will choose the course in which they want to do the job. They will also learn about employment opportunities and external employment.
