Birth & Death Registration

The citizens of UP state can apply for Birth and Death certificates using the online platform. In case of the birth of a child or the death of a family member, it is required to inform the Registrar within 21 days of the event. You first complete the registration process and then visit the Registrar’s office to collect the certificate. This is the offline method of applying for birth and death certificates. In the online method, you need to apply online by filling out the online application form.

The UP govt has the provision of appointing the Registrar for each area. That will do the process of registration of birth and death for that particular area. The Registrar can be from the municipality, Panchayat, Government health institution, or other local authority appointed by the State Govt.
